In addition, we probably all, collectively, have our own set of rules we like to live by and look for in our SQL Server installation.

My question today is two-fold. First, where do you get your best-best-practices, and second – what has been the most surprising or single most helpful best practice you’ve developed for your work with SQL Server?

Drop me a note here – let me know what you’ve found.
