Web Services – An Introduction
Today the Internet connectivity is increasing the day by day. Earlier the connectivity was limited only to the computers that were using same hardware and software technologies. But this limited functionality was insufficient to fulfill the ever-growing needs.

A Request…
I’d like to put together a single session for the conference that goes into the different things to know and think about as you start working with your SQL Servers. Not "what do I need to learn" but rather "how do I quickly take ownership of the SQL Server(s) in my care?" I’m thinking about a spreadsheet or two that helps you log key things (along with the scripts to extract the information), steps to document the server, etc.

What would you think should be in this type of session? What would you recommend? I’d really like to make this a great session and would love to include lessons learned from the SSWUG community. When you take over systems, what are the initial steps you take?

It’s kind of like SQL Server Triage – determining the hottest, most important topics first — the most important and critical items. How do you do that whole stop, look, listen and understand process?

Please drop me a note – let me know how you approach it and what you look for. We’re very focused on making these sessions about "what you really need to know…"

Drop me a note here — I appreciate the suggestions!
