Be Smart About Your SharePoint Installation…
Make sure you have it backed up, make sure it’s recoverable and covered from a database and an application point of view. AvePoint has been very busy continuing to build out the tools you use to help manage and expand on the solutions you build using SharePoint. If you’ve not looked over their great tools and options, you should check it out and see how it can work in your environment, maximizing the benefits from your SharePoint installation. Need Your Help
Today (Oct 31 2008) at 12:30pm (30 minutes after Noon) pacific, 3:30p Eastern, we’re testing a new chat application. If you could head to the site and enter the chat room – ask questions (we’ll even do our best to answer them!) and just help us test it out in general, I’d really appreciate it.

We’re looking at the chat application as a way to allow us to have chats on SSWUG.ORG with authors, specialists and others that you can ask questions of, get answers from and interact with on the site. We’re testing out this (3rd party) software and need to see about how it works under load. In our tests, it’s been very solid – but would love to have your help.

Start at this URL: http://bitonthewire.wpengine.com/chat.asp – and click the link in the middle of the page to load the chat application. You don’t have to be logged in, don’t have to be a member. We’d just like your feedback and assistance on testing it.
