Independent SQL Server Help

Or, at least help with your independent support of SQL Server. I asked about whether you thought this might be a good idea last week. Specifically, we’re considering a series about helping run a consulting business – either administrative or development – and the thought was to have information on common business issues that come up and help in dealing with those. The response has been overwhelmingly in favor of doing such a column here on SSWUG, so we’re off and running on it. Look for new articles in the series coming soon – from contracting issues to time management and others – we’ll get it pulled together. Thanks for all of the great responses!

Chris has been putting together a series of articles too – the first went live Friday (above) – about getting more from your servers. Take a look – and if you have suggestions or ideas for things you’ve wondered about with your own systems, drop him a note at chris@sswug.org – I’m sure he’d love to hear from you and have some more items to consider for articles.
