Deploying a SQL Server Database
Usually, when you’re working to release an update, deploy an application or move databases between servers, you’re faced with the task of comparing data on your systems. From deploying and making sure your data matches from your test systems to the production boxes to confirming that two production systems have the right information in sync between them. This can be a real challenge to make absolutely certain you have the right data in place. There is a tool that will help solve this issue – the SQL Comparison Toolset from Idera. This tool will compare structures, schema objects and data. You can see what’s different and even have the system generate the script for you to synchronize the target systems. This is a HUGE help in making sure you’re ready to go. Get a copy here to try out on your own systems, you’ll see it can be huge help to your deployments.
