Step by Step to Capture change data in IBM DB2 — Part 1
IBM consistent Change Data capture provides the capacity to track changes to tables and store them in a change table. With this functionality any source database can be identified and objects (tables) within the database can be selected. You can capture the changes to the table row within or on different database. It is always advisable to create a separate database and store the change data. In this article we would create CCD tables to store and track change to a table. Any Insert , update or delete statement on the table will be stored in the destination database with the operation , and time stamp and the data.

Many organization are still trying to upgrade from SQL 2000 to SQL 2005 and are now faced with the decision should they upgrade to directly SQL 2008 or do they upgrade to SQL 2005 then SQL 2008. In this session, we cover if you should upgrade to SQL 2008 and discuss potential incompatibility issues.
