JavaTM XML Pack Summer 02 Release
The latest release of the Java XML Pack, Summer 02, includes the Java API for XML Messaging (JAXM) v1.1, the Java API for XML Processing (JAXP) v1.2, the Java API for XML Registries (JAXR) v1.0_01, Java API for XML-based RPC (JAX-RPC) v1.0, and the SOAP with Attachments API for Java (SAAJ) v1.1.
Project and proposal for integrating validation with processing pipelines
Eric van der Vlist announced XML Validation Interoperability Framework (XVIF): a proposal for embedding processing pipeline definitions into XML schema languages, particularly RELAX NG. He has also developed a RELAX NG/XVIF implementation in Python, and an on-line demo.
