Welcome to SSWUG for 2011

Welcome to SSWUG for 2011
Well, here is my first editorial for 2011. I’ve been doing the daily editorial now for SSWUG since July, and it has been a blast.

I’ve tried a number of things this year such as career tips, how to tips, high level reviews of books, tools, blogs and web sites, as well as best practices.

I’ve had a lot of feedback from many of you which has been extremely valuable to me. Your tips, corrections and options have helped me do a much better job bringing daily insights for us all.

Today I’d like to encourage you to send in a quick comment. I know you are busy just like me. So, I’d be grateful if you would take five minutes and drop me a note about the kinds of things you’d like to see more of in the daily editorials.

I have had good response regarding SQL Techniques, including source code if needed. Can you send me your comments regarding other topics you have found helpful in your career? You can send me an Email to btaylor@sswug.org.

While you are at it, I’d take a moment to check out the Fireside Chat from Stephen Wynkoop on Select Views (http://bitonthewire.wpengine.com/media) . He has some good highlights about SQL Server 2011 (Denali) and you won’t want to miss the fireplace.

Cheers,
Ben
