Using Scripting to Help Manage your Databases
I was discussing my issue with this Windows Admin friend of mine, and he suggested that we use a script to get all the information that I needed. After speaking with him for only a few minutes, I was surprised at how much he claimed that he could do with a script that would connect to each server and gather information.

Do You Know What Your SQL Agent Is Doing? Really?
Probably not. That is, not unless you’ve used SQL Sentry Event Manager to give you a real-time, outlook-style look at your jobs and the work being done by SQL Server. The reason I say this is because it’s just not a simple thing to see what’s really going on with jobs, recurring jobs, overlapping executions, impact on your system and so-on. Heck, it’s near impossible to look at the jobs and say "which one is running longer than it should – what should I check on to get it better tuned?" Think this might be the case on your system? Get a free trial. Download it. Install it. Point it at your server. Within minutes you’ll know more about your jobs and the work going on than you thought possible. Get more information here. The trial is free and you’ll know instantly how it works on your system.
