Killer Data Center Examples
I don’t know if you’ve heard/seen recently, but EMC and Microsoft have been putting together some really amazing larger data center solutions. There are a couple of case-study whitepapers that are out there now that show some interesting ones. The first is the adCenter overview, talking about storage and performance topics. SQL Server 2008 Installation Notes
Just a quick note about SQL Server 2008 – there are reports from a number of people about issues installing on a system that has Visual Studio 2008 already installed. Specifically, when you install, you’ll be prompted that you need to have VS2008 SP1 installed. As of this writing, it’s not yet available. So, if this is you, and you’re looking to get this up and running, you’ll want to hold off for a few days until the Service Pack for VS is available.
