Understanding Microsoft Commerce Server (Part I)
Microsoft Commerce Server offers a boon to the developers and provides a state-of-the-art platform with tools and services to develop a classy web site at a very faster pace. Commerce Server Development Platform helps the developers to develop web applications, customization of commerce server business logic, integration with other third party softwares. Faster SQL Server Recovery…
Have you ever needed to recover lost data to the point-of-failure? Not to that last transaction log, but to where things really broke. If you’ve done restores on a production system, surely the answer is "Yes." It can be very aggravating, shuffling the backups and seeing how close you can get. Take a look at Acronis Recovery for MS SQL Server — they have this "One-step Recovery and Automated Recovery to Point-of-Failure" capability that reduces downtime and assists your organization in improving your Recovery Time Objective (RTO). Rolling Snapshot enables near-instantaneous recovery in cases of human error or logical data corruption. Check it out here, including a free download to try on your own systems.

Call for Authors
Something you may not realize if you’ve been following SSWUG for any amount of time is that we do pay for content and, of course, we’re a bit different in how we go about it. We pay an initial fee that starts at $20 for very brief (like, VERY brief) articles and goes up from there. But, where it gets interesting is that even if you’re paid $100, 200 or whatever for your article, you also get royalties on the article in the coming few months. So, you can get paid again. And again.

You don’t find this ANYWHERE else. You get to share in the success of your articles! It’s the way it should be, in my opinion.

It’s a great way to add some income, get some vast, overwhelming fame and, well, have some fun. It’s a simple thing to submit articles and we love helping new authors get established. If you’re interested, drop me a note, let me know the topics you’re interested in and we’ll get things moving. We can support payment for articles, podcasts, videocasts and all sorts of things. We just want to make sure you have an outlet for your database content, and that the SSWUG readers get the latest and greatest info available.

My email: swynk@sswug.org – let me know if you’re interested – I’d love to work with you.
